Yesterday, Trump’s administration took it upon themselves to advance a rule that would deny Title X funding to any reproductive health clinic that provides or discusses abortion with their patients, so you know, I did what any red-blooded American feminist homebody would do: woke up, cleaned my kitchen, and made a shitload of these cookies.
I found this recipe from Dinner, Then Dessert (pasted below).
First, dump 12 cookies in the food processer and pulse them, pretending that each cookie is a member of Trump’s administration who told him it was a good idea to start meddling in the relationships doctors have with their patients.
Then, chop up 14 Oreo cookies into little tiny pieces, like you’re a member of HHS and the cookies are the bucket of Title X money that goes to Planned Parenthood for life-saving care like cancer screenings and STI testing.
Now it’s time to cream together 2 full sticks of softened butter and the sugar, because god damn it, the Trump administration is trying to make it almost impossible for low-income people to access life-saving care BECAUSE OF COURSE THEY ARE.
